As the Specialty Vehicle Underwriter for ICBC, I was responsible for qualifying vehicle's for Collector, Modified Collector and Vintage status and plates.
I was also responsible for approving collector vehicle values for the agreed value policy.

I have been involved in the Auto Body industry since 1978 as a licensed ticketed Automotive Refinisher.

I have refinished thousands of vehicles and I have restored and helped to restore hundreds of Collector Vehicles.

I have been Qualified by the B.C Provincial Court as a Specialty Vehicle Expert.

I recently retired from ICBC after 24 years, and have now started this appraisal business to try and make a difference in the car community by explaining the actual facts on how the Collector, Modified Collector, Vintage, Multi Collector plates, Insurance and registration all work in B.C.

I was involved in developing the rate group 98 insurance program for high value vehicles at ICBC.

I was responsible for approving all Agreed Value Applications for Collector and Modified Collector Vehicle for ICBC (when it was available).

I reviewed all applications for the Multi plate and insurance program.

I ran the Collector Vehicle Program for 7 years where I reviewed over 40,000 applications for Collector, Modified Collector and Vintage plates.

I was instrumental in making changes to the Collector, Modified Collector and Vintage programs including the recent changes to the Collector and Modified Collector Vehicle program.......

Changing the Modified Collector age requirements from pre 1959 to pre 1974.
Allowing Replica vehicles into the Modified Collector program.
Changing the requirements to register an out of province vehicle with unfit status.
